It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It is hard for their batters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to deliver her latest masterpiece.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

If this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Many contend the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've observed me in the nets, it was a disappointing period because it seemed my form was missing at all," stated Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts activate and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from that point Healy was on her way.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was dismissed the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a significant event.
